What do you mean by sub assembly line and final assembly line?

• Sub  assembly  line:-  Sub assembly  items  are  normally  assembled  separately  in  different  shops  and  later  brought   to  the  final  assembly  shop.

           Any  product  may  need  two  or  more  sub-assembly  lines.Each  sub  assembly  may  depend  on  several  components  or  parts.



• Final assembly  line:-    In  this  all  sub  assembly  are  join  to  give  the  final  product. Car  assembly  line  is  a  model  example  of  proper  engineering  of  human  work  and  is  and  example  of  proper  Man- Machine  interaction.

           In  a  very  large  mechanical  workshop  an  efficient  mechanization  and  automation  help  to

1. Increase production  and  productivity

2. Improve quality

3. Reduce cost  by   reducing  man  power

4. Increase number  of  operations  in  the  same  assembly

                                                           The  more  automation  and  assembly  through  production  line,  the  less  and  less  will  be  the  requirement of  the  people  or    manpower.

                                                    In  fact  along  with  machines  and  instruments  now  computer  has  come  up  everywhere  as  an  extra  and  new  tool  in  production,  quality  control,  control  and  monitoring  , automation  and  do  miraculous  labour  saving  by  developing  software  of  various  purposes  and  designs.
